![]() I knew about the white phosphorus and some of the details of the final chapters, just having watched videos on games worth playing. Like many people here probably, I had a lot of the experience spoiled for me over the years. Actually, I quite liked the messages in the loading screens in the latter parts of the game so didn't mind. Even though I was on normal, I died a few times and only once or twice did I feel like they were cheap deaths (as in, accidentally moving from cover or something). What I do know, is that I enjoyed the shooting aspects quite a lot. I've played that game to death, and felt quite at home. It could be considered a bit similar to Mass Effect 2 without powers as well, with 2 squadmates and conveniently placed cover all over the place. Having never played gears of war for very long, I don't know if that's right. It's been compared to a worse version of Gears of War in terms of cover 3rd person shooter, things like that. So, this game gets a lot of stick for having poor gameplay and mechanics. It was like 68 cents on kinguin so I figured why not and installed it on PC.
